The Dauphin County Prison is currently accepting applications for the full-time, varied shift positions of Correctional Officer.  An employee in this position will be responsible for the care, custody and control of male and female inmates.  This is a union position.  A higher hourly rate may apply if candidate is an existing county employee.

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program.  The qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age by the date of hire.

 

Application Process:  Current employees must complete a Transfer Application and attach a resume.  Non-County employees must complete a County Employment Application, available from the Dauphin County website at www.dauphincounty.org under the icon for employment opportunities.  Both forms may be obtained from and submitted to the Personnel Department.
