The Safety & Security Department is currently accepting applications for the part-time, varied shift positions of Security Officer. An employee in this position will be responsible for controlling or surveying assigned county structures and premises; operating authorized electronic, electrical, and electrode-mechanical security devices in accordance with established policy and procedure; completing standardized logs and reports; documenting and investigating events observed or reported; and making appropriate notifications within and without county government. Incumbent will attend mandated instruction classes; establish and maintain associated certifications; and report to the shift supervisor daily. A higher hourly rate may apply if successful candidate is an existing county employee.

Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from high school or an accredited equivalency program. At least one (1) year of security experience, preferred. May possess or acquire the following certifications: Act 235 Lethal Weapons, CPR/First Aid and Passive Restraint Training.
